Finance, Accounts Receivable department has an opportunity
for a full-time
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ADMINISTRATOR
(CLIENT FINANCIAL & SYSTEM ANALYST)

who will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable function by processing accurate billing for Ontario Uninsured, Interim Federal Health Program (‘IFHP’) (Refugee), Ontario Health Insurance Plan (‘OHIP’), Out of Province and Sundry Billings for Baycrest’s Long Term Care Home, Complex Continuing Care Hospital, Day Care Services and Terraces assisted living facility

Non-Union – 1.0 F.T.E.

Responsibilities include:
• Meeting with clients/substitute decision makers to review and receive admission packages.
• Ensuring completeness in billings and claims.
• Maintaining and administering Accounts Receivable (‘AR’) records related to all aspects of AR activity within the department.
• Financial Assessment, ensuring clients maximizing benefits available under Service Canada.
• Handling customer and departmental inquiries regarding billing arrangements and outstanding account balances as required, which may include meeting with families to discuss finances.
• Working to collect outstanding receivable balances in a sensitive, yet timely manner – in adherence with Baycrest collections process.
• Issuing Income Tax receipts for applicable clients (Hospital co-payment, Terrace, JHA, Daycare) on an annual basis.
• Assisting with the completion of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations (AR accounts only) – balancing subledger and providing meaningful and accurate presentation of data.
• Assisting with the collection and preparation of data required for the year-end audit.
• Providing efficient and pleasant customer service answering all customer inquiries in person and by telephone – escalating issues accordingly.
• System expert with Meditech B/AR system.
• Preparing AR Ministry reports.

Qualifications include:
• College Diploma.
• Minimum of two (2) years in a Accounts Receivable preferably in a Healthcare setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Outlook,
• Meditech, Smarttream System experience an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care guidelines related to co-payment charges and other eligible billable client charges.
