Community Services Department Recreation Division Customer Service Centre requires an ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Post-Secondary education in Business or Accounting or equivalent Minimum 2-3 years business or financial experience, preferably in the customer service sector Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills Must demonstrate a pleasant and courteous manner which is required to process requests from internal and external customers, either on the telephone or “in person” Experience working with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as previous experience working with CLASS and POS would be an asset Note: Flexible work schedule is required to meet extended hours requirements in the Customer Service Centre. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Customer Service Centre, Account Administrator the successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and/or deposit of monies owing for the rental of facilities or program registration. Receive through internal mail, registration schedule payment cheques, verify CLASS scheduled payments are set up correctly. Reconcile daily deposit of monies received in the Customer Service Centre. Provide general inquiry information to internal/external staff as required. Respond to Community Centre e-mail requests directed to CMS-Accounts as required. Resolve payment and collection issues through reconciling customer accounts. Process customer service requests according to unit standards, in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain account records and ensure accuracy of data repository. Performs other related duties as assigned.
