 Maintenance Technician (Transmission)

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week.  Overtime as required.  May include weekends and holidays.


• Perform transmission test procedures related to incoming and outgoing video, audio and data feeds from diverse sources.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance routines on equipment and technical systems. Document repairs, installations and modifications.
• Install and service all types of Analogue and Digital broadcast equipment (electronic, mechanical, live eye, computer systems, VHF and Microwave Transmission Systems).
• Provide technical computer support for the company network and systems.
• Maintain and support various systems and hardware including non-linear editing, I-News, weather system and graphic networks.
• Coordinate building maintenance including HVAC and electrical systems
• Other duties as assigned.


• Post Secondary education in an Electronics or Computer Technology program.
• Experience in the electronics or computer field.
• Knowledge of equipment installation and maintenance. Experience with HVAC and electrical systems.
• Experience supporting PC Networks and operating systems and expertise assisting corporate users with the resolution of computer and printer problems is required.
• A proven ability to work with others in a team environment in a deadline driven environment is essential.
• Candidate must possess highly developed troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Valid Drivers licence.
• Regular travel to remote broadcast / transmission facilities within Saskatchewan
• Experience with Satellite/Production trucks an asset
