Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
Bell Media Radio Kingston has an exciting opportunity as we are looking for our next Program Director for Radio Kingston: 98.3 FLY-FM (Hot-AC) and 98.9 The Drive (Classic Alternative).
·         Help set strategy utilizing all available resources.
·         Keep our stations and air-staff focused on strategy.
·         Grow the ratings for each radio station. 
·         Manage on-air staff: scheduling/training/coaching/development/recruitment of staff.
·         Maintain company & station policies & procedures.
·         Coordinate BBM rating campaigns including Marketing and Promotion.
·         Optimize music scheduling systems for both stations with the Music Directors.
·         Build and maintain brand for both stations.
·         Create a winning team attitude - take a leadership role on and off-air in the community and make promotional/service appearances.
·         They will also plan and maintain the budgets for these areas, and organize scheduling, filing and maintenance of all related materials.
·         The successful candidate may also voice-track one air shift on FLY-FM or The Drive and fill-in other announcer shifts from time to time, live or voice-tracked.
Qualifications:
·         A minimum of 3 years of successful radio programming experience and possess a thorough understanding of programming, team-building, promotion fundamentals as they apply to Programming and Sales.
·         Must be a natural leader with excellent motivational and training skills. 
·         Ability to innovate and create. 
·         Must be self-motivated as well as able to take direction and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
·         Able to work to deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail, have excellent computer skills, and have a valid driver’s license (Ontario).
·         Considerable knowledge of BBM, RCS–Selector and Scott Automation Systems are essential.
