Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required. This job includes Shift work (day, night, weekend shifts).
Responsibilities:

   We’re looking for an experienced anchor who will also report. This new team member will have several years of journalistic experience, is passionate about live television and knows the value of good story telling. Strong and determined interviewing skills are a must and being a team player tops the list. Experience in anchoring in a major market is a must. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Originating, writing, interviewing and presenting information to a television audience
  • Reporting on camera and live to air
  • Report, research and produce news items
  • Anchoring and reporting in the field

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Certificate from a recognized Journalism Program
  • Minimum five years experience as a Reporter/ Anchor
  • A team player who has great ideas
  • Strong on- air presentation skills
  • Strong interview skills
  • Thrives with Live TV
  • Excellent news judgement, writing, research, and production skills
  • Must be available for various shifts including weekends
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations and tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Toronto and GTA area
  • Experience in broadcast writing.
