Position Overview:

 

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for efficient processing of new business disability and critical illness applications and effectively conducting follow-up with Advisors and other service providers.  This position is responsible for delivering a high level of client service by handling multiple incoming inquiries, resolving a variety of problems and issues and coordinating the necessary communications required between GWL Head Office, Advisors and the insured Clients.


Accountabilities:

·         Quoting living benefits illustrations and remaining up-to-date on new developments
      and technology.
·         New business processing of applications; proactively following up on outstanding
      requirements, placing cases, and keeping business tracking reports updated daily.
·         Distributing, and at times printing, new business status reports for advisors and managers where applicable.
·         Assisting advisors in the completion of underwriting requirements for prompt issuing of policy contracts.
·         Assisting advisors and policy holders with in-force service requests.
·         Ordering and maintenance of all marketing and client service forms required to support the sale and ongoing servicing of LB clients.
·         Providing administrative support to the LB Sales Team.
·         Creating various spreadsheets and marketing materials.
·         Assisting with occasional mail distribution responsibilities.

Qualifications and Competencies:

·         Completion of a one year community college diploma; a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
·         Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
·         Well developed organizational and priority management skills with the ability to
     manage a variety of tasks with a strong attention to detail.
·         Proficiency with MS Office programs; particularly with Microsoft Excel.
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.
·         Ability to work well independently as well as within a team.
