Position Overview:

This full-time, permanent position presents an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in developing and implementing process improvements within I.S. Financial Management. The Process Improvement Specialist will develop initiatives to increase quality and productivity, decrease cost and cycle times, and contribute directly to achieving the organization’s financial targets and strategic objectives.

Focused on process improvement initiatives, this role provides a unique opportunity to advance change, gain exposure to the entire Information Services organization and further develop leadership and change management competencies such as analysis, planning, critical thinking and communications.

Key Accountabilities:

Process Improvements: lead process and system improvements by identifying needs and contributing to the design, implementation, and management of new initiatives using a variety of analytical methods
Positive Leadership: Influence and lead others through the various stages of process improvements by building and motivating high-performing teams, guiding behavior through coaching and mentorship, and empowering others while demonstrating high levels of integrity and personal accountability
Financial Reporting and Planning: support IS Executive and the organization in achieving their objectives by providing meaningful interpretation of financial and other statistical data.
Financial Policy, Procedures and Systems: design and support the framework for tracking and recovering I.S. expenses from lines of business consumers. This includes maintaining equitable cost sharing arrangements and systems for charging I.S. expenses to consumers.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Must have a professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA)
• Minimum 4 years of directly related experience with a proficiency in financial analysis, performance analytics, communicating financial results, designing financial policies and controls
• Demonstrated initiative (self-starter) with the ability to influence others
• Proven leadership ability gained through either direct or indirect talent management
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Superior interpersonal skills; demonstrated through excellent communication skills and building and maintaining efficient and effective teams
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong time management and organizational skills
• Service orientated with a positive outlook and the ability to adjust and adapt in a fluid environment
