eMedia Developer

Position Overview

As an eMedia Developer, you will work as part of the eMedia team in Communication Services, Winnipeg. You will collaborate with content editors, and other developers and graphic designers to create and implement visual designs for internal and external corporate websites, and other rich media communications.


·         Collaborate with content editors, and other developers and graphic designers to create user interface designs, page layouts and custom graphics for corporate intranet and public websites.
·         Translate visual designs into accessible and compliant HTML/CSS.
·         Create user interface designs, develop and implement solutions for rich media communications, including Flash, video, marketing emails and multimedia presentations.
·         Create and document standards for, and ensure the use of website visual style guides.

Qualifications and Competencies:

·         5 to 7 years experience (University degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience) in web and multimedia development and design.
·         Comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and able to balance multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
·         Strong creative and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
·         Proficient with:
·         Industry standard web and graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite applications.

·         Website usability best practices and accessibility standards.

·         HTML and CSS.
·         Various rich media and document formats including Flash, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and various audio and video formats.


·    Experience with web content management and publishing applications, including Oracle UCM and Microsoft SharePoint.

·         Experience with other programming languages.
