London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is one of Canada's largest acute-care teaching hospitals and is dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching and research. Reporting to the Coordinator MRI/CT, the Registered Technologist is responsible for performing clinical and research magnetic resonance scans. The Registered Technologist is responsible for ensuring that safe screening and scanning practices are followed to prevent hazards due to high magnetic fields. The Registered Technologist will participate in the training of student technologists.



Qualifications

• Registered Magnetic Resonance Technologist by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (RTMR)

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario

• Member of Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists an asset

• Minimum of two years recent Magnetic Resonance experience

• Ability to perform IV injections an asset

• Exceptional patient care skills

• Demonstrated competencies in interpersonal relations, communication, problem solving, initiative, sound judgement and good work ethics

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly organized manner

• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development

• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
