Registered Nurse - Temporary Full-Time Department: Adult Emergency Department ONA Salary Range: $28.50/hour to $40.49/hour Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week This position is covered by a Collective Agreement. Applications from outside the bargaining unit are welcome but can only be considered if the position is not filled from within the bargaining unit.

Annually this site cares for 55,000 patients.
Qualifications Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Minimum of 2-4 years of recent emergency nursing experience Preference to candidates with CTAS certification, ENC (C), ACLS, TNCC, MOAB training, and PALS certification Monitoring experience ECG certification Well developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills Demonstrated warmth, interest and empathy in interactions with patients and families Demonstrated effective communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment with a high patient turnover Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback in an open and constructive manner Demonstrated skills in patient teaching Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning as demonstrated by the courses taken pertaining to emergency nursing Ability to work independently and as a member of the team Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis In order to be considered for this position, please submit a detailed resume by clicking the Apply button or fax to: 519-663-3187.
