The Renal Care program provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic renal failure for patients in Southwestern Ontario region (excluding Windsor/Essex).
Qualifications:
· Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
· Certificate in Nephrology from the Canadian Nurses Association an asset
· Current Hemodialysis experience essential
· Four years recent acute care nursing experience
· Previous experience in Nephrology nursing
· Previous experience in primary nursing
· Demonstrated excellent clinical skills
· Demonstrated independence in clinical practice
· Demonstrates commitment to self-education (formal and informal)
· Previous experience in working as part of an interdisciplinary team preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
· Effective conflict identification and resolution skills
· Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
