Reporting to the Manager, Wealth Management-Financial Administration, you will be a senior member of the team, operating in a fast paced environment with ties to both Financial Management and Quadrus Investment Services Ltd. The Trust & Settlement Team is responsible for settlement of all client trades, as well as reconciliation of individual client trust accounts. The team also actively participates in multiple projects pertaining to system upgrades and new product launches. As the leader of this team you will require an understanding of the mutual fund industry and be able to provide support and guidance to the Trust and Settlement Team members, as well as the Quadrus Leadership Team.

 

You will be accountable for:

 

·         Daily Process Monitoring

·         Regular audit/review of team work to ensure quality and accuracy of work

·         Research and problem resolution

·         Monitor work flow

·         Ensure service standards are tracked and met

·         Review and provide a recommendation and/or approval for complex or escalated trade situations

·         Special Initiatives

·         Project participation

·         Recommend and implement process improvements

·         Organize testing and reporting of defects for semi-annual system upgrades

·         Leadership/Training

·         Performance appraisals

·         Interview and hire new staff

·         Staff training

·         Liaison between Trust and Settlement Team and Quadrus Admin areas as well as Internal and External Auditors

 

Required Competencies and Behaviours:

 

·         Understanding of mutual funds

·         Successful completion of IFIC operations or CSC

·         Self starter, team-oriented and able to work with limited direction

·         Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

·         Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

·         Able to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing and managing deadlines

·         Change adaptive

·         Previous leadership experience
