SENIOR PROPERTY OFFICER, LAND DEVELOPMENT $76,775 - $96,435 per annum Our Realty Services, Land Development Office is seeking a dedicated real estate professional to support the organization’s land development activities, including managing the work of external consultants, maintaining financial models for various land development projects and provide general support on joint development projects. As a Senior Property Officer, Land Development, you will work closely with the Manager, Land Development and the Director, Realty Services, alongside other teams within Metrolinx. Key Responsibilities: · Supporting the Director and Manager, along with the Chief Financial Officer and legal team in assessing business cases for joint development real estate projects across Metrolinx’s extensive property portfolio. · Performing complex real estate financial analyses to assess the feasibility of various land development, redevelopment and joint venture projects. · Liaising and consulting with internal staff, municipal agencies, Transit Commissions, community groups, other levels of government, and the private sector to achieve corporate goals and objectives. · Reviewing and evaluating consultant studies, reports, design, specifications and contract documents. You will monitor and supervise progression of work being performed by internal and external staff, taking corrective action as required. · Providing advice on options and opportunities within the real estate market; monitoring business requirements and advising clients on relevant real estate matters. Location: 20 Bay Street, Toronto Qualifications: · University Degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or Urban Land Economics. · 6 years of related experience in real estate advisory, municipal planning and/or real estate development, with working knowledge of, or demonstrating: - Commitment to producing quality work, within time constraints and under limited supervision. - Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to provide recommendations and expertise. - Advanced writing skills to prepare concise presentation materials in report format and PowerPoint. - Strong and effective verbal communication. - Preparing various real estate reports for senior executives to enhance business performance tracking, including managing data collection, analysis and presentation. - Software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and financial modeling techniques. - An exceptional track record building strong client relationships with operating divisions and various external stakeholders, achieved by leveraging your political acuity and soft skills.
