MANAGER, RESULTS BASED PLANNING $103,102 - $128,878 per annum Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario and oversees GO Transit, PRESTO and the UP Express. Our non-fare revenue team is seeking a Manager, Results Based Planning to lead the development of company-wide strategic business plans. Key Responsibilities: · Provides direction on resolution of budget related issues and recommends approaches in securing approval for ministry submission. · Ensures financial resources are in place to operationalize the company’s plans. · Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop multi-year workforce, operating and capital budget, plans. · Creates reports and delivers presentations to Senior Management, Board Committees and external government agencies to identify required resources and meet organizational needs. · Ensures accurate financial information pertaining to operating and capital budget is provided to management on a timely basis. · Manages and coordinates the development and preparation of the resource allocation component of the annual business plan including capital and operating budgets, as well as various reports and submissions to external agencies. · Manages the provision of financial advice and expertise to senior management on budget status, emerging issues and possible over expenditures. · Liaises with external agencies during the negotiation and approval of financial resources. · Participates and leads results based planning and treasury board discussions with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO). · Remains apprised of changes and updates to policies, procedures, and legislation that may impact services and programs. Location: 20 Bay Street, Toronto Qualifications: · University Degree in accounting or any combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent. · 8 years of related experience that includes direct exposure to, or demonstrated working knowledge of: - Leading staff in financial analyses, developing accounting presentations, and preparing business models to provide expert advice and updates to senior management. - Providing financial analysis to support corporate decision making and negotiations for required resources - Knowledge of business practices, financial analysis and reporting · Experience presenting to senior management and executives · Experience providing leadership, coordination and management to a team.
