Our Union Station Rail Corridor, Track and Signals Capital Infrastructure team is seeking two (2) Project Coordinators to coordinate the design, construction and management of infrastructure enhancement projects with an emphasis on great financial and schedule management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing your skills in financial management, schedule management and document controls of large infrastructure projects.
  • Administrating the design and construction in terms of scope, quality, budget, schedule and approvals in co-ordination with external and internal authorities/stakeholders.
  • Supporting project development from inception to implementation and handover including contract close out documents i.e. maintenance procedures and manuals, as built drawings, stakeholder acceptance, testing and commissioning reports, safety certifications etc.
  • Coordinating a diverse portfolio of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering projects including Track, Signalling, High and Low Voltage electrical and mechanical installations, geotechnical.
  • Daily financial and scope management of consulting agreements for design and construction contracts.
  • Identifying, developing and recommending infrastructure enhancement projects with respect to rehabilitation and expansion of all GO Transit Track and Signals facilities in the Union Station Rail Corridor and managing the implementation of approved projects.

Location:   20 Bay Street, Toronto.


  • A college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing a thorough knowledge of the theories and practices of engineering/architecture.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience related to the planning, design and construction of transit facilities, interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications and coordinating contracted engineering projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of civil engineering and architecture.
  • Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, corporate policies and procedures and applicable contract legislation.
  • Thorough understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations and Safety & Operating procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and analytical abilities are a must.
  • Proficiency in the use of project management software and computer applications is essential.
  • Must have a valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License.
