The Station Infrastructure Office requires 2 Project Coordinators to coordinate the design and construction of assigned physical infrastructure projects, in a safe, timely, consistent and cost effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects through all stages of design and construction in terms of function, quality, budget, schedule and approvals in co-ordination with external and internal authorities.
  • Administering consulting agreements and construction contracts for the maintenance, rehabilitation and expansion of GO Transit facilities.
  • Identifying, developing and recommending physical infrastructure programs with respect to rehabilitation and expansion of all GO Transit facilities and managing the implementation of approved projects.
  • Researching, developing and recommending maintenance standards and procedures and technical training requirements for new technology as a result of capital works.
Location:  20 Bay Street, Toronto


  • A college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing a thorough knowledge of the theories and practices of engineering/architecture.
  • Minimum five (5) years experience related to the planning, design and construction of transit facilities, interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications and coordinating contracted engineering projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of civil engineering and architecture.
  • Detailed knowledge of project management including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, corporate policies and procedures and applicable contract legislation.
  • Thorough understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations and Safety & Operating procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and analytical ability are a must.
  • Proficiency in the use of project management software and computer applications is essential.
  • Must have a valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License in good standing.
