Our Electronics & Communications office is seeking several Electronics Technicians to carry out a variety of skilled work related to the testing, repair, modification, and re-building of electro-mechanical and electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, testing, repairing, servicing, and modifying electronic equipment and other devices, as required.
  • Installing and conducting remedial / preventative maintenance and inspection of electronic equipment and IT systems and equipment, including PC’s, peripherals and networking equipment.
  • Providing first level response to communications related calls, including P.A. systems, Station Phone lines, Point of Sale and CCTV systems.
Locations*:  3500 Wolfedale Rd., Mississauga and 81 Middlefield Drive, Scarborough

Shift:       Various shifts that may include weekends.

  • Completion of a 2-year Electronic Technician’s Diploma, emphasizing digital and R.F. electronics, with CompTIA A+ certification; possession of CompTIA Network+ certification would be an asset.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of theoretical and practical experience in the repair, testing and maintenance of electronic/mechanical equipment, and knowledge of micro processor based equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PC software installation and support. 
  • Must have a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence, meeting the corporate standard for a good driving record and the ability to obtain a GO Transit Equipment Operator’s Permit.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certifications, and have knowledge of pertinent Health and Safety Regulations. 
  • Must successfully complete environmental, safety and any other training required by corporate policy, including CN Contractors Familiarization Certificate.
  • Good analytical and oral/written communication skills.
