Key Responsibilities:
·         Allocates resources to implement organizational policies and programs and establishes financial and administrative controls
·         Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and develop supporting information for management decision making. Responsible for reporting performance measures and financial information for external reports.
·         Creates reports and delivers presentations to Senior Management, Board Committees and external government agencies to identify results of financial analysis and key performance indicators to identify resource required to meet organizational goals.
·         Remains apprised of changes and updates to policies, procedures, and legislation that may impact services and programs.
·         Utilizes latest financial and performance indicators information to advance operational efficiency and to encourage evidenced based decision making.
·         Participates with the Manager of Results Based Planning in the development of the corporate business plan for operations and capital.
·         Provides detailed management representations for Management Discussions and Analysis for the annual financial statements.
·         Ensures financial analysis and modeling is complete, accurate and supports business actions and recommendations to management.
·         Performs leading edge financial analysis to understand business trends and identify impacts trends will have on revenues and costs.
·         Recognizes business and financial threats and opportunities and performs supporting analysis to make recommendations to manage risk or take advantage of opportunity.
·         Provides leadership, coordination and management to a team. Determines work priorities, sets performance standards and conducts performance reviews.
·         Participates in hiring of staff provides orientation, training, and identifies developmental opportunities.
Location:                20 Bay Street, Toronto
·         University Degree in accounting or any combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent
·         8 years of related experience that includes direct exposure to, or demonstrated working knowledge of:
-     Overseeing the development and implementation of complex financial models for a variety of needs and audiences
-     Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide the financial information and analysis to develop multiyear workforce, operating and capital budget plans.
-     Creating models and key performance indicators to assist the business in improving operations and ensuring the financial sustainability of programs.
-     Develops mechanisms and tools to identify methods to improve business performance
·         Accounting or financial analyst designation required
