The Opportunity

Operations Manager-Coil Tubing – Red Deer, Alberta
The Operations Manager – Coil Tubing provides direction and technical support to the Coil Tubing division. The position is responsible for providing assistance with procedures, policies and regulations. The Operations Manager – Coil Tubing monitors and ensures high performance standards for all groups within the division. Responsibilities include:
·         Ensure the overall adherence to government regulation – Precision policy / procedure thereby protecting the health and safety of all Precision employees.
·         Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the business to ensure that schedule, scope, and performance objectives are met or exceeded;
·         Establish and manage performance targets for all Precision team members that complement the departmental and company service objectives;
·         Maintain customer relationships and handle customer concerns in a timely and professional manner;
·         Hire, develop and assign managers and technical resources to support the ongoing growth of Precision;
·         Review operations on a timely basis to identify scope, schedule and cost issues that need to be addressed;
·         Develop and manage mitigation plans to resolve identified issues;
·         Manage operating expenses by controlling costs in all areas including salaries & wages, employee performance and productivity, and communications;
·         Assist in preparing annual capital and operating budgets;
·         Assist the sales process by providing sales with support for cost estimates and technical knowledge; and,
·         Develop all opportunities for integration of PD completion services, using other PD companies wherever possible.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

·         12 – 15 years of operational, ‘hands on’ experience in oil well servicing or completions
·         Extensive operational experience specific to Coil Tubing in a management capacity;
·         Must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills and able to lead by example;
·         A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills;
·         Excellent teamwork and team building skills;
·         Proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking;
·         Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills;
·         Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail;
·         Ability to adapt to and learn fast new software;
·         Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines; and,
·         High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
