The Opportunity

QHSE System Specialist (Safety Superintendent) – Red Deer
The QHSE System Specialist is a dedicated resource for Completion & Production Services within North America.  This position is accountable for supporting the Director of HSE and divisional operations of C&P Services with the development and maintenance of HSE Management Systems. Responsibilities include:
·         Ensuring Management Systems are technically valid and support our company’s high performance high value philosophy at the field & facilities level;
·         Ensuring Management Systems meet or exceed government regulations and HSE registry requirements;
·         Ensuring proactive initiatives are captured in the Management Systems;
·         Educating all levels of management ensuring a clear understanding of Management Systems;
·         Researching, developing and maintaining training initiatives for all divisions; 
·         Developing systems based on collection of comments from our field employees; and,
·         Coordinate the collection and maintenance of data within HSE registries.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

·         An excellent record internally within the Precision Corporation as an HSE professional or 5 years related professional HSE experience;
·         Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, including Auditing of Management Systems;
·         Certification in H2S Alive, First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, Rig Rescue, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry;
·         DNV Modern Safety Management and DNV Incident Investigation;
·         Hold a valid driver’s license and ability to produce a clean driver’s abstract;
·         Motivation to develop skills associated to HSE professional practices, procedures and regulations;
·         Familiarity with Word, Excel, Email & PowerPoint;
·         In-depth knowledge of HSE management systems;
·         Ability to interpret current regulations as enforced through various government regulatory bodies;
·         Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written;
·         Ability to conduct effective audits of internal management systems;
·         Maintain an understanding of oilfield rental, camp catering, water treatment and well servicing equipment, as well as hold a general understanding of the other business unit practices and procedures;
·         Ability to effectively transfer knowledge and job expectations to our Field Personnel in all aspects of performance;
·         Ability to manage multiple tasks daily with strong time management skills;
·         Ability to demonstrate a commitment to safety at all times; and,
·         Strong desire to support all levels of personnel.
