CONVENIENCE STORE ASSISTANT (Administrative Assistant II)

INTRODUCTION

SAIT Polytechnic is hiring for a part-time contract Convenience Store Assistant. Commercial Services is responsible for supporting the campus both with its services and revenue. The C-store is a new retail operation within Commercial Services. The supervisor position requires a strong understanding of convenience food with a retail focus and management skills.

Note: This is a temporary, 30 hour/week part-time, casual position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform cashier duties

· Staff training

· Daily deposits

· Create schedule within budget goals

· Supervise 3-5 p/t people

· Opening and closing store responsibilities

· Restock inventory

· Attend training sessions of unique food items

· Maintaining clean and safe food operations

· Conduct quarterly inventory counts with third party service

· Positive outlook and attitude

· Good communication skills

· Able to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Management experience

· Retail experience

· Customer service skills

· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Successful candidates must provide proof of qualifications. Only education obtained from an accredited institution will be recognized.
