This position is primarily responsible for providing overall coordination and management of business development activities for all brands in the assigned category of the store, in order to maximize sale and profitability and increase new business development, consistent with Sears Mission, Vision and Values.
This involves:
• Consulting with the Associate Store Manager and supervising the Sales force in the store (e.g., staffing, recruitment, performance assessment and monitoring of daily activities) to ensure exceptional customer service and maximization of revenues/profitability;
• Identifying training needs and providing on-going team development through coaching/training for performance improvement;
• Collaborating with the Associate Store Manager, other store management and vendor partners to develop and exceed various sales and customer service targets;
• Provides leadership to the sales team in support of their selling skills development to improve selling, close rates and the overall customer experience; and • Demonstrates visible leadership. Success in this role calls for strong customer service and supervisory/leadership skills. The ideal job candidate will have completed an Apprenticeship program (or equivalent) in Business Administration or Marketing. Some experience in a Sales Floor/Customer Service role or in Merchandising and Marketing are required.
