Sears Travel is a retailer of leisure travel and related services, dedicated to providing Canadian customers exceptional service through a network of branches from coast to coast, online at searstravel.ca, or through a national call centre.

Are you ready to use your selling skills to assist customers in choosing the right travel plans? Then consider Travel Sales Consultant as a possible next step in your career path.

This position is responsible for contributing to the profitability of Sears Travel by using professional selling techniques to sell Sears Travel products, taking every opportunity to sell add-ons, and build long-term client relationships that create a strong customer base.

As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will need to achieve personal sales and revenue goals by performing selling activities according to Sears Canada and Sears Travel policies and procedures. Working as part of a team, you would be responsible for :

• applying professional skills and knowledge in order to determine customer needs and provide information and guidance so that customers can make informed decisions;
• advising customers of appropriate restrictions, terms and conditions of travel services;
• closing sales and processing necessary documentation to complete transactions;
• completing client files, reservation information and payment details in accordance with accounting procedures;
• participating in seminar, educational trips, technical training, etc.; and
• supporting local business building and customer acquisition campaigns, national marketing programs, as well as promoting Sears Travel approved suppliers.

Occasional extended travel is required.

Success in this role calls for strong selling skills. Previous sales or travel experience an asset. The ideal candidate will also have;
• Customer Service skills and interpersonal skills
• Good Verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational/planning skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work effectively on a Team
