This position is primarily responsible for providing overall coordination and management of the placement of merchandise on the sales floor, and coordination of the promotional ad setups and seasonal flexes, in order to maximize sales and profitability consistent with Sears Mission, Vision and Values. This involves:

• Supervising the day to day activities of the store’s Merchandise Presentation associates, including recruiting and hiring associates, scheduling staff, assigning work, responding to associate requests and issues, and conducting performance assessments;
• Supervising and participating in the handling of new receipts, ensuring merchandise reaches its final destination on the sales floor prior to sale, and is presented and signed in accordance with company standards.
• Collaborating with the Associate Store Manager, other store management and merchandising partners to ensure merchandise is staged, available, and ready for the customer;
• Providing coaching and training to associates in merchandising activities and customer interactions while on the sales floor;
• Collaborating with Logistics Lead and staff regarding movement/storage of merchandise; Collaborating and communicating with sales team regarding changes/projects that will affect their departments; Collaborating with Maintenance Lead regarding physical changes required, eg. installation of slatwall, fixture setups, necessary repairs/modifications to installations, etc.
• Demonstrates visible leadership.

Success in this role calls for strong customer service and supervisory/leadership skills. The ideal job candidate will have experience as a sales associate, and have a college diploma or equivalent. Other qualifications for this job include:

• Organizational/planning skills
• Knowledge of merchandising, visual presentation, and logistics
• Skills in time management and coordinating the activities of a large work team
• Skills in prioritizing

We recommend that all associates should have completed a minimum of 12 months in their current role, should have their performance in good standing and should have discussed their career development plans with their current manager, before applying to internal roles.
