In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory plans to maximize profitable sales and achieve customer service and inventory productivity goals. This involves: • monitoring and maintaining the integrity of inventory databases on a regular basis; • analyzing current and historical inventory and sales performance data and making appropriate recommendations; and • following appropriate operational models (e.g., SAMS, RIM, DOS, SMART) to achieve customer service and inventory productivity goals. As a Merchandise Flow Analyst you will also be responsible for maximizing profitable sales and inventory productivity by collaborating with other team members to identify and achieve ways to ensure in-stock position, reduce supply chain inventory and improve inventory productivity. This includes developing and implementing liquidation strategies to address distressed inventories and collaborating with suppliers and team members to ensure preplanning activities related to inventory needs are completed. Success in this role calls for strong analytical skills and technical skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of the production planning process. The ideal job candidate will have completed a 2-year community college program in the area of Logistics Management, Business Management or Purchasing and have experience as a Sales Manager, or Merchandise Business Associate and Merchandise Flow Coordinator. Other qualifications for this job include: • Good verbal and written communication skills • Computer skills (e.g., knowledge of SAMS, RIM, DOS, SMART, etc.) • Organizational/planning skills and the ability to meet deadlines • Attention to detail As a Merchandise Flow Analyst, you will join a team of professionals, working in the fast-paced field of merchandising, and contribute to making Sears a great place to shop.
