This role is primarily responsible for leading the sales team in the achievement of the department(s) sales plan and operational deliverables. You will also create an environment of positive associate engagement that maximizes customer service and delivers flawless execution of all processes and standards. This includes:
1. Creating an environment of positive associate engagement by actively promoting Sears Mission, Vision and Values, conducting regular communication meetings and having active recognition and associate development plans in place.
2. Ensuring customer service expectations, both direct and indirect, are being met, i.e. selling interactions, CSD service standards, in-stock, etc. Identifying gaps, resolving issues and making recommendations for improvements, wherever necessary.
3. Driving flawless execution of corporate initiatives and store standards to ensure resources are used effectively in all operational processes, including payroll, and in achieving merchandising standards within areas of responsibility.
4. Providing leadership to sales team through clear communication of goals, providing on-going coaching/training, and conducting timely, meaningful performance reviews. Participating in the recruitment and selection of new associates for designated areas.
5. Taking ownership to drive the day to day activities and results in designated department(s), including staffing requirements, achievement of sales plans, promotional activities, credit acquisition, etc.
6. Communicating regularly with the Assistant General Manager or Sales Manager and the Regional team on all issues related to improved departmental performance and results.
7. Ensuring all associates work in compliance with all laws and regulations and attend and complete all required health and safety training, report all accidents and take every precaution reasonable to ensure personal safety and the safety of others and perform other duties as required.

8. A Fun and outgoing person who can assist the various counters with their Gift with Purchases, organizing our annual Gala events, and other fun activities.

The ideal job candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of previous Sales experience within a high-volume Retail environment. Other qualifications include:
·         Post secondary education and training in Business Administration, Marketing and Fashion
·         Demonstrated selling skills and sales results
·         Demonstrated visual presentation skills
·         Demonstrated customer service skills
·         Knowledge of operating Point of Sale terminal
·         Demonstrated leadership skills
·         Demonstrated organizational skills
