Reporting to the Associate Director, Creative Strategy, the Creative Studio Production Manager directs Creative Services staff to plan, develop and execute marketing tactics and programs, in support of the overall strategic objectives of Sheridan and specific objectives of departments, programs, services and Faculties. The position manages marketing related to student enrolment and revenue generation, by driving applications and enhancing Sheridan’s brand image and reputation. The incumbent has accountability for the creative development, editorial integrity, visual design, technical production and cost-effective, timely delivery of printed communications, print and broadcast advertising, direct marketing campaigns and materials, on-site and off-site event merchandising, and off-line marketing communications, for major local, regional, national and international markets. This position works closely with the Digital Marketing Production Manager to ensure integrated online/offline messaging, campaigns and marketing support are comprehensive, aligned across multiple communication channels and implemented in a coordinated manner.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Works with the Director and Associate Directors in Marketing & Brand Strategy and/or directly with internal clients, to devise, plan, implement and assess a wide variety of materials to support the College's student enrolment, business development, revenue generation and other strategic objectives;
• Works with the  Associate Director, Creative Strategy, support staff and other departments to develop annual plans,  periodic campaigns and unique initiatives and materials supporting academic programs, learner recruitment, fundraising and alumni activities and other college events and initiatives;
• Manages corporate advertising plans, consults with the Associate Director and advertising specialist(s) to develop a complex multi-market annual advertising plan for Sheridan, its academic programs, business development and fundraising initiatives consistent with all Sheridan strategic objectives and priorities, ensuring that offline marketing complement online marketing;
• Plans and develops creative messaging for all offline advertising and corporate print communications including all publications and collaborates closely with Digital Marketing Production Manager to ensure consistency with online communications and activities;
• Establishes and monitors corporate policy related to branding aspects of Sheridan published communications materials, such as ensuring adherence to corporate visual standards, and supporting marketing objectives;
• In fulfillment of annual and periodic plans and response to internal client demand, the incumbent is responsible for the production and implementation of a high volume of complex, time-sensitive marketing communications in support of corporate and departmental marketing;
• Manages and directs internal creative staff and external resources to communicate Sheridan programs and offerings and present a positive image to prospective and current students, influencers (teachers, guidance counsellors and parents), clients (employers, research partners), alumni and supporters of the College;
• Responsible for the design and content of all print publications, advertising, broadcast and selected online materials, with appropriate input and approvals by clients and/or Associate Directors or Director;
• Manages multiple priorities within defined financial and human resources with autonomy to redirect work to external sources as required;
• Provides leadership and direction to creative staff. Maintains a high level of staff performance by recruiting, delegating, coaching, mentoring, motivating and managing performance of staff.
• Provides tactical advice and counsel to internal clients on all matters of marketing communications, advertising, collateral production.
• Establishes and manages contractual relationships with external vendors to procure direct mail distribution, mail and fulfilment services to supply the College needs.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a 3-year college diploma or 3-year university degree in marketing/communications, liberal arts, advertising, business, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in creative services, including working with ad agencies and/or management of graphic design and copywriting personnel. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered. The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge and experience with marketing communication functions (editorial and ad copywriting, graphic design, photography, media planning and buying, distribution).  Additionally, the candidate must have specialized technical expertise related to published communications including print brokering, press specifications, print advertising and broadcast.  Must have knowledge of marketing theory and best practices, project management and negotiation skills.   Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, organization, priority setting and time management skills are essential.
