You are here. At the intersection of community and commerce with Citizens Bank of Canada and Vartana. Where Canadian voluntary sector organizations achieve their diverse missions through solid financial infrastructure and advisory support provided by experienced banking professionals. Where they will have the ability to expand and sustain their work with certainty and to leverage their successes to create prosperity for their constituents.
Citizens Bank of Canada (Citizens) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vancity Group. We share a commitment to utilizing our resources and expertise to influence positive change in the communities we serve. Vartana is a registered charity devoted to the research and development of a financial institution dedicated to meeting the needs of the voluntary sector and its needs.
Through a bold and innovative Charity Banking Initiative (CBI), Citizens and Vartana will offer a full suite of financial products and services and provide education and outreach that supports organizational capacity-building for the not-for-profit sector (NFP) in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Ontario. With retail banking services delivered through our Front Street branch location and National Contact Centre, the successes and opportunities learned through this pilot program will support the development of other Charity Banking Initiatives across Canada.
An important step in making this unique initiative come alive is to find our new:
