JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced Diesel Mechanic
Great Lakes Greenhouses Inc. is a 118-acre cucumber farm and one of the largest Organic greenhouses in North America with 32 acres of Organics. Based in Leamington, Ontario, Great Lakes Greenhouses was founded in 1983 at which time it consisted of 2.5 acres of greenhouses, under glass. Still family owned and operated, we specialize in long English seedless cucumbers, not only making us the largest single-site cucumber grower and packer in North America, but globally as well.
Responsibilities will include:
- A general understanding of the Logistics and Transportation Industry
- Diagnose problems and make required repairs and adjustments.
- Experience and knowledge with commercial truck repair
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Be aware of, and comply with all safety regulations.
- Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Required skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Organized and detail oriented
- Must posses a strong work ethic
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35.00-$40.67 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Leamington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
